"The person who removes a mountain begins by carrying small stones" — Confucius
There are times in most people's lives where their life struggles seem too difficult and complicated to handle on their own. Are you finding that this is that time in your life? Are you struggling with depression, anxiety, an eating disorder or addiction? Are you having problems in your relationship with a loved one that doesn't seem to be getting any better? Psychotherapy provides you the opportunity to address these concerns: develop new skills; and gain insight into what you are experiencing to gain control of your life. With over 20 years of experience in the field of mental health, I will work with you to address your underlying issues and concerns while helping you improve your life management skills. I am an interactive psychotherapist who uses approaches and techniques to help create change in your life. I will work collaboratively with you in a safe, caring and nonjudgmental environment to develop a trusting relationship. This foundation of trust will allow us to explore your past and present experiences that underlie your emotional distress that contributes to unhealthy thoughts, beliefs and behaviors. Together we will work through your experiences to gain insight so they no longer negatively effect your present. In addition, you will learn to develop life management skills to improve your daily life and relationships. You will learn to cope in healthier ways with life challenges and learn to care for yourself in a compassionate manner. Utilizing these positive changes will help you recover and grow to become a healthier, happier and more successful person.
